Throughout my freshmen year I didn't know exactly what I was doing. I began to take art classes in my sophomore year It took me that long to take an art class. I always knew that art wasn't my thing because I sucked at it. But trying new things is always good and practicing and practicing will make you an expert. My first art class I took was art 1 I didn’t quite enjoyed it. After that I took art 2 and then painting etc. I felt that painting helped me gain skills. I learned so much throughout the years it helped me in so much forms for example in my art skills and on how to express my feelings through art. I always thought that this process of planning before you grab your art tool was a waste of time and boring. But I was totally wrong because I know from experience I tended to skip this step and went straight to the task but it always went wrong because I didn't have a clear image of what I was doing. My paint brush moved from corner to corner and it became a huge mess. In my class there's a lot of talented people their pieces are amazing and I also want to thank my teacher for teaching me everything that I needed to know. Mrs. Rossi makes sure that she helps each of her students. Before I got into art I told myself that it was going to be easy but little did I know that there was so much more concepts and tools that I didn’t understand how to use. I discovered that oil paint was my favorite I felt that the quality of the paint is so much better than acrylic. I did a landscape of penguins in painting class and it turned out so good. The blending of the colors and the flow of colors turned out as planned. I’m glad I decided to take these art classes because they have helped me a lot I feel like this was the best decision I’ve ever made. Time went by so fast wishing it could have lasted a little longer.
