Thank you, Art
Art has never been easy for me I often tend to get stressed and frustrated when i'm not able to draw something or it doesn't come out how I want it to. When my art teacher gave us a project I often wanted to give up even before I touched the paint brush. I hesitated in taking art classes because I knew I wasn't good at it. But they say you never become good at something if you don't try and practice but in my head I knew for sure I sucked. I always had an interest in art wanted to express myself threw it but I wasn't good at it. Some people are naturally born with the talent of being amazing artists but not this girl. I took my first art class my freshman year “Beginning arts” that class taught me the basics and element of art for example when drawing there's a lot of elements to it line, form, value, depth etc. Although I say it was pretty boring but as I continued art II and painting my senior year it was more fascinating we did more projects although I sucked. Taking those previous art classes allowed me to grow while gaining skills to create good compositions and well-balanced pieces. The main thing I learned this semester was to take things slow not to rush because without patience you lead to a dead end. I learned a lot of things realizing that art has many elements. When looking at an art piece. I look at the big piece not focusing on the small details that it has. There are colors that you don’t see and are there that makes the piece well-balanced. My skills in blending and combining colors that flow together has gotten better I know that creating a piece takes days, weeks even longer if your like me. Creating a piece has steps after steps you need to have a clear image of what your going for. Planning or sketching your ideal image of what your going for is very helpful. I always thought that this process of planning before you grab your paint brush was a waste of time and boring. But I was totally wrong because I know from experience I tended to skip this step and went straight to painting but it always went wrong because I didn't have a clear image of what I was doing. My paint brush moved from corner to corner and it became a huge mess. In my painting class there's a lot of talented people their paintings are amazing. Met and made friends this semesters it was quite fun to interact with people you didn’t know even existed. Towards the end of this semester my art pieces have turned out really well. The two projects that I feel the most proud of are my landscape painting and pet project. Knowing how to use each technique and composition strongly helped me alot. Creating these paintings I had to focus on what the emphasis was going to be and if it was going to be balanced with analogous colors. I will never regret taking art classes because it helped me grow as a person because there was always that lack of confidence as well had the chance to gain great art skills and had a wonderful teacher Mrs.Rossi is a fun and optimistic teacher and I will miss her alot since this is my last year in High School. This semester has come to an end time flew and I will always be content of choosing to take art throughout my high school years .
